Description

Nos 6 and 8, Clifton Crescent are a pair of mid-19th century houses. They are stuccoed with a slate, Mansard roof and have four dormers. The houses are three storeys high with an attic and basement. They have end quoins and four windows in total, with the two central windows being three-light, canted bays extending through all floors. Stringcourses divide the floors. The second-floor windows have rounded heads, while the first-floor windows have moulded architraves. The central windows of the canted bays are topped with pediments, and the end windows have cornices. The ground-floor windows are cambered and have keystones. Fine doorcases are set back within three-storey extensions featuring rusticated surrounds and balustrading. Nos 2 to 22 (even) form a group.
