Description
Mealo House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Hayton and Mealo. The building features painted stucco with V-jointed quoins and an eaves cornice set on a chamfered plinth. It has a graduated greenslate roof with coped gables and sandstone ashlar chimney stacks. The structure is two storeys high with three bays, and it includes lower two-storey, single-bay wings. The ground floor has a 20th-century door within an overall 20th-century porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and are set in painted stone surrounds. The left wing has a 20th-century ground-floor window and a gabled dormer.
