Description

Mellguards is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse. It has painted stucco walls with vertically jointed quoins, beneath a roof covered with graduated greenslate tiles and coped gables. The building has been re-built with brick chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four bays. A 20th-century door is positioned centrally, set within a shouldered architrave and a pediment. The windows are sash windows, set within painted stone architraves, and the ground-floor windows are double-hung.
