Description
Rose Cottage is a mid-18th century building that has undergone some later alterations, with the possibility that the roof has been raised. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The cottage is two storeys tall and has two bays, following a central entrance plan. The gables are coped and include kneelers. The windows have plain surrounds; on the ground floor, there is a sashed window with vertical glazing bars alongside a three-light flat-faced mullioned window. The first floor has sashed windows with glazing bars. The entrance is highlighted by a gabled trellis porch and a half-glazed door. The left side of the building has a small lean-to outbuilding, while the right side features sashed windows with single glazing bars.
