Description

Old Rectory Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage located on Holebrook Lane in Lydlinch. It is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a tiled gable-ended roof with a partial stone-slate verge and end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century casements with horizontal glazing bars set under wooden lintels. Above, there are two 18th-century, two-light leaded light windows of different sizes, flanking a central single-light casement with horizontal glazing bars. The presence of former quoins near the centre of the facade suggests that the building has been rebuilt at some point.
