Description
Laburnum Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage with minor 19th century additions. It is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins. The stone slate roof has stone coped gables and moulded kneelers, with a stone gable end stack on the north side and a central stone ridge stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays.
The entrance features a flush doorcase with a panelled door, which is sheltered by a 19th century latticed wooden porch. On either side of the door are 2-light flush mullion windows, with glazing bar sashes on the north side and a fixed small pane window on the south side. Above these, there are two similar windows, with the one on the north side located over the door and the one on the south side positioned over the southern window. To the north, there is a 19th century extension that has a rounded corner. Below the eaves, there is a blank wall with a glazing bar sash in a flush surround.
