Description
Edge Lea is a house built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins. It has a slate roof and a brick gable end stack on the south side. The house is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. The entrance is marked by a flush quoined doorcase, which has a stilted semi-circular arched window above it, complete with a raised keystone and leaded lights. Below this, there is a 20th-century glazed door. On the north side, there is a plain sash window that replaces a former two-light flush mullion window, and above it is a similar window. This building is included in the register for its group value only.
