Description
This is an outbuilding located to the south of Merrill House, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring a stone stack on the south gable. The building is a single bay and two storeys high. The east facade has two 19th-century doors to the north, both of which are plank doors. To the south, there is a large 19th-century fixed small pane window, and above it, a central two-light flush mullion window. The gable wall facing the street is blank and has a blocked flush opening. This outbuilding is included in the listing for its group value.
