Description
The terrace wall and gate, located approximately 40 meters west of the garden front of Overstone College, date from the mid-19th century and are likely designed by W.M. Teulon. The structure features squared coursed lias and limestone ashlar, with a terrace retaining wall topped with ashlar copings. To the far right, there is a narrow flight of steps that includes wrought iron gates. This wall and gate are part of a formal arrangement that also includes a terrace wall, balustrade, and additional flights of steps located about 10 meters west and 20 meters north and south-west of the garden front. They are included for their group value with Overstone College.
