Description
The forecourt and terrace walls, gates, and gate piers to the Manor House date from the late 18th century. They consist of walls surrounding the front garden and retaining walls for the paved terrace in front of the house. The construction features coursed tooled squared stone, ashlar, and wrought iron. The walls have flat copings around the front and sides of the garden, with the coursing of the side walls following the slope of the ground. At either side of the house, there are a pair of rusticated piers topped with low pyramidal caps, which support ornamental gates and lamp standards, although the lamps are missing. Inside the garden, a similar wall with a short flight of steps supports the terrace.
