Description

This is an 18th-century cottage located on the south side of Manor Road, Grimscote. It is built of coursed squared ironstone, with some limestone, and has a thatched roof. Brick stacks rise from the ends and ridge. The cottage has a two-unit plan and a two-storey, two-window front. A 6-panel, part-glazed door, added in the 20th century, is positioned to the right of centre and has a wooden lintel. The ground and first floors each contain two-light casement windows, the first-floor windows being located within eyebrow dormers, all lintelled with wood. The interior contains chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
