Description
This building is a barn, animal shelter, and stables dating from the 17th century, located approximately 20 to 30 meters north of the farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, with corrugated asbestos roofs, and is designed in an L-plan layout. The barn's walls have been demolished to about 3 meters above ground level and feature remnants of slit windows. The adjoining shelter on the right is open at the rear and has a roof supported by a 20th-century timber post, with a coped gable end to the right. The stables extend from the left side of the barn and consist of four bays, featuring doorways with wood lintels and plank doors in the left bay and the second bay from the right. There are unglazed window openings with wood lintels in the right bay and the second bay from the left. Inside the shelter, there are old tie beams and main rafters, although the stables were not inspected. This building is included for its group value.
