Description
Topleys is an 18th-century house located on the south side of Weston and Weedon High Street. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with the first floor of the right bay rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The house has a slate roof and brick stacks.
The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The doorway in the second bay from the left has a wooden lintel and a flat moulded timber hood supported by scroll brackets, leading to a six-panel door. To the left of this doorway is a three-light wooden casement window with a wooden lintel, and there are two similar windows to the right. In the right bay, there is a small one-light window with a wooden lintel. Additionally, there is a doorway with a wooden lintel and a plank door in the second bay from the right. On the first floor, the right bay has a two-light casement window with a wooden lintel, while the other first-floor windows are three-light wooden casements, also with wooden lintels.
The interior has not been inspected but is reported to contain two open fireplaces. The house is included for its group value.
