Description
No. 25 High Street South is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features an asbestos-tiled roof with brick stacks at each end. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a single window range. A 20th-century plank door is located to the right of center within a gabled timber porch. The ground floor has two-light casement windows with wooden lintels, and there is a half-dormer window above the door. The eaves have been raised in stone following the removal of thatch. There is a large 20th-century extension at the rear, which is not of special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected.
