Description
Hulcote Lodge is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a 20th-century plain-tile roof, and brick ridge and end stacks. The house has a 3-unit plan and a 2-storey, 3-window front. A 20th-century porch contains a 20th-century door, positioned to the right of the centre. A single-light window is to the right, featuring brick jambs and a flat-arched brick lintel. Other ground-floor windows are 2-light casements with wooden lintels, except for those to the left and right of the door, which have flat-arched brick lintels. The first floor has 2-light half-dormer casement windows with wooden lintels. There is some brick patching, particularly to the entrance bay and the bays on either side. An ironstone coping is visible on the gable to the left. The building is included on the list because of its group value.
