Description
The Old School, located on The Green in Easton Neston, is a parish room that was formerly a school, dated 1816. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a large slate roof. The building has a single-cell plan and is one storey high with a seven-window range. The central bay projects forward and includes a round-arched sash window, which may have replaced a blocked door or been set in a blank recess. Above this, there is a pedimental gable that holds a circular limestone plaque inscribed with "SCHOOL/ERECTED/1816," which is recessed in a circular brick surround. There are 12-pane sash windows on either side of the central bay, each with wooden lintels. The building has overhanging eaves and a porch at each end, each featuring a plank door and fanlight.
