Description

This is a cottage located at 46 Bedford Road, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. It is built of coursed squared ironstone with a plain tile roof and has brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, featuring a two-window range. There is a part-glazed, panelled door positioned to the right of the center, which has a wooden lintel above it. On the ground floor to the left, there is a two-light casement window with a stop-chamfered wooden lintel. The first floor has three-light casement windows, each with wooden lintels. The left end of the cottage has quoins and a stone-coped gable with kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
