Description

Ivydene and The Roost are two houses, likely built in the mid-18th century and altered in the 19th century. They are constructed from rendered cob with slate roofs and each has a two-unit plan. The buildings stand two storeys high and together form a five-window range featuring 19th and 20th-century casements with glazing bars. There are two early 20th-century doors positioned between the windows. Brick stacks are located at the ridge and at the ends of the buildings. The interiors have not been inspected. These houses are included in the register as an example of cob construction.
