Description

The Old Mill House and stable block is a house and stable block located on the north side of High Street in Ravensthorpe. It features datestones marked JS/1653 and JS/1792. The building is constructed from rendered cob with a slate roof and has a three-unit plan. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window range of 20th-century casements. There is a six-panelled door to the left of the center, and brick stacks are located at the ridge and end of the structure. The datestones are positioned above the door.

The two-storey stable block, dating from the late 18th century, is made of chequered brick and extends at right angles to the left, with a lean-to building that has part cob walls attached to the far left. Inside, the room to the right of the entrance features an open fireplace with a bressumer and retains its original roof structure with timber corbel trusses.
