Description
The Old Forge House is a mid-18th century building that originally consisted of two houses, which have now been combined into one. The structure features squared coursed lias and chequered brick, topped with a plain-tile roof from the 20th century. Each house was originally designed with a one-unit plan. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a two-window range of 19th-century casements that sit beneath wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door also under a wooden lintel, and a 20th-century conservatory is attached to the right. Brick stacks are located at both ends of the building. To the right, there is a single-unit extension from the 19th century, while the left gable showcases chequered brickwork. This building is included for its group value.
