Description

This is a house located on the east side of High Street, Bugbrooke. It was originally built in 1673 and remodelled in the 1846. The house is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a slate roof, and has brick end and ridge stacks. It has a three-unit plan and originally presented a three-window facade. A five-panel part-glazed door is located to the left of centre, set within panelled reveals, a moulded pilastered wooden surround, and a moulded cornice/hood. The ground and first floors have 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched heads. Quoins are present, and the gables are stone-coped. A datestone above the door displays the inscriptions 1673 and 1846. The interior features chamfered spine beams. The building is included on the list for its group value.
