Description

This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 15 meters south of The Homestead in Kilsby. The barn is constructed from cob and squared coursed limestone, with some areas patched and partly rebuilt in brick. It features a thatch and corrugated iron roof, and consists of six bays. There are three double plank doors and three single plank doors, all with wood lintels. The north wall includes two- and three-light casement windows. The roof is hipped at the east end and gabled at the west end. Inside, the barn retains its original roof structure, complete with curved wind braces.
