Description
This is a barn dating from the 18th century, located approximately 16 meters west of Manor Farmhouse, with an attached cob wall. The barn is constructed from banded, squared, coursed limestone, with cob at the ends and rear, and features weatherboarded gables. It has a thatched roof and consists of 3.5 bays. On the center left, there are double plank doors that rise to eaves level, and a smaller plank door with a wooden lintel at the rear, which retains its original strap hinge.
Inside, the barn has a pegged queen strut roof with collars, original purlins, and lath rafters. The threshing floor is stone flagged but partly broken. The double plank doors have chamfered rails, with one door likely being original. Attached to the rear of the barn is a cob wall that is approximately 20 meters long and about 2 meters high, topped with tile coping.
