Description

The Forge House is a house dating from the early 18th century, remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with an artificial slate roof and brick stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic. The two-bay front has a central doorway with a wooden frame featuring panelled pilasters, panelled reveals, a flat hood on brackets, and a six-panel door with an overlight. Flanking the doorway are windows with wooden lintels and sash windows with side lights. Similar windows are found on the first floor. Coped gable ends feature kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
