Description

Obelisk Farm is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed lias rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a three-unit, originally through passage plan, and is two stories high with a three-window range of casements, some of which have 19th-century leaded lights. The central entrance and all window openings have chamfered stone jambs, all topped with wooden lintels. The entrance includes a 19th-century five-panelled door. Inside, the left-hand end room on the ground floor contains an early 17th-century open fireplace, which has a moulded stone surround with a four-centred arched head and moulded spandrels.
