Description
Lower Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof, along with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The layout is a three-unit plan, and the building stands two storeys high with a four-window range. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century three-light casement window to the left of a mid-19th century outshut, which has timber lintels over two plank doors and a window. On the first floor, there is another 19th-century three-light casement window with a timber lintel. The interior and rear of the building have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
