Description

No. 2 Farm Cottage in Duxford is a 17th-century building that was originally two cottages and is now a house. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with stone stacks finished in brick. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The front has a timber lintel over an early 20th-century four-panelled door, with a blocked door to the right. To the left are 20th-century casement windows with a timber lintel, while the right side has a concrete lintel and half dormers above. The roof is gabled with external gable end stacks, and the right side wall includes a projecting bread oven. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
