Description
Little Thatch is a house dating from the 17th century, located on Church Road in Hinton Waldrist. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a thatched roof and a stone chimney stack finished in brick. It has a single-unit plan and two storeys, featuring a single-window front. A timber lintel sits over the 20th-century door to the left, and there are late 19th-century casement windows. The roof is half-hipped, with a gable end stack. At the rear, there is a 17th-century four-light wood-mullioned window with chamfered details, retaining one original light. Inside, there is a chamfered and stopped beam, alongside a similar bressumer over an open fireplace. The roof space has not been inspected.
