Description

Manor Farmhouse, now a house, was built around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with brick quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof, and features brick stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, two storeys and an attic, and a three-window front. A six-panelled door is set within a moulded architrave, and a porch was added around 1980. Flat brick arches with keystones and brick jambs frame the six-pane sash windows. Four dormers with pediments are set into the roof. The gabled roof has gable end stacks. Segmental brick arches are visible over late 19th-century casements on the left side and late 19th-century horned sashes on the right side wall. Similar arches are above a six-panelled door and a three-light leaded casement at the rear. Inside, the house retains panelled shutters and six-panelled doors in moulded architraves. A straight-flight staircase is located opposite the entrance. An early 19th century fireplace is in the room to the left, and two rooms to the right were combined around 1970.
