Description

St Giles Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, situated on the south side of High Street, Hinton Waldrist. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof, and has brick stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and one storey with an attic. It has a two-window front. The windows are early 19th-century two-light casements and later 19th-century casements within half-dormers. Timber lintels are above the central 20th-century door. The roof is gabled, with a gable-end stack on the right. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be of interest.
