Description

The Old Bakehouse is a house dating from the early 17th century, with a late 18th-century north elevation. It was originally two two-unit houses arranged in a T plan. The building is constructed of squared coursed lias and features slate and thatch roofs. The north elevation is two storeys high with an attic and has an asymmetrical two-window range. It includes an early 19th-century six-panelled front door and casement windows, some of which retain original 19th-century leaded lights beneath wood lintels, with iron shutter catches. An 18th-century bakery oven is located to the right of the north elevation and is now part of the house.
