Description

Two houses, built in the mid-18th century, stand consecutively at 13 and 14 Church Street in Broughton. They are constructed from roughly-layered lias rubble and feature a thatched roof. Each house is a single unit, two storeys high with an attic, arranged as a two-window front with casement windows featuring leaded lights. The gabled roof has a central brick chimney stack. Twentieth-century doors are located on the sides of the properties, and a twentieth-century extension adjoins the rear. The houses are included on the list for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
