Description
The Rectory is a building dating from the mid-18th century with later 19th-century additions. It is constructed of dressed ironstone and lias, with a plain tiled roof laid in alternating courses. The building follows a symmetrical plan with two original units, and 19th-century rear wings have been added. The south elevation is two storeys with an attic, and has a five-window range. A 19th-century door is centrally positioned. Original 18th-century twelve-pane sash windows are present throughout. There are two casement windows on the first floor, the one on the left having nine panes. The gables feature dressed stone kneelers, and there are two gabled dormers. Brick and rendered stacks are also present. The rear wing incorporates sash windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century garage is attached to the right side of the building.
