Description
The Patch is a mid-17th century house constructed from coursed lias rubble with a thatched roof. It features a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a two-window range with casement windows that include some original leaded lights. There is a 20th-century entrance on the left side. A large chimney projects from the right gable, which has a fire window, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and the end of the building. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer in the right-hand room. The roof has collar trusses, showing evidence of heightened collars likely due to later insertions of a first floor. The original shutters are still present on the ground floor.
