Description

Forge Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the west side of School Street, SULGRAVE. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The cottage follows an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with three bays. A doorway in the second bay from the left features a wood lintel, now with a 20th-century half-glazed door and a gabled timber hood. A 19th-century bay window is located to the left, while a blocked window is visible to the right, also with a wood lintel. A small one-light window with a wood lintel is on the right, and a two-light casement window with a wood lintel sits in the right bay. A one-light window with wood lintel is in the left bay. Upstairs, two-light casement windows with wood lintels are visible. The interior has not been inspected.
