Description
Old Dairy Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1685, with 18th and 19th century additions. It is built of coursed squared limestone, with 19th century courses above the first floor windows, and mostly ironstone. The roof is tiled, featuring blue brick end and ridge stacks on stone bases. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. There is a six-panel door located in a 20th century timber porch to the right of the centre. The ground and first floors have three-light 19th century casement windows, while the attic features two-light windows set in 19th century coped gables on both the left and right sides. All windows and the door are topped with timber lintels. A datestone inscribed "RL/1685" is located to the left of the middle first floor window, and another datestone inscribed "ADD 1685/RLT" is found just below the right kneeler on the left side. To the right side, there is a 19th century rear wing, along with other 19th century extensions to the rear. The interior includes boxed spine beams.
