Description
The Coach House to Wyndham House is a building from the 18th century, currently used as a garage and workshop. It is constructed of coursed dressed limestone, with a slate roof facing the road and old tiles on the other slope, along with a brick end stack. The building has two storeys and features a six-window range. In the center, there are a pair of double-leaf garage doors, flanked by a six-panel door with an overlight on the left and a plank door with an overlight on the right. Wood mullion and transom windows are present on the ground and first floors at either end. The ground floor windows and doors have stone lintels and keyblocks, with a blocked window above the left door. There are two 20th-century windows above the garage door, and the window above the right door is partially blocked and features a two-light leaded casement. The building has quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers, with the coping and kneelers made of ironstone. There are single-storey lean-to extensions on the left and right sides. The interior has been altered in the 20th century but retains stop-chamfered spine beams. The building is included for its group value.
