Description
The building is a former detached kitchen, now serving as a garage, dating back to 1752 with later alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The structure has raised stone coped gables and a black glazed pantile roof, with a single gable stack that has been cut down. The building is single storey with a garret and presents a three-bay front that includes a plinth, a single planked door, and flanking blocked lights. All openings are adorned with plain ashlar architraves and raised keystones. The gable end features a 20th-century garage door with a single light above it, similar to the front. The eaves stones display the initials SR and the date 1752. Inside, there is a large rectangular fireplace with a deep ashlar lintel and a raised keyblock. To the left of the fireplace is a copper, and to the right is a bread oven with an iron door and brick voussoirs around the opening. At the back, there are two wrought iron pot hooks, and the stop-chamfered girders have simple run-out stops.
