Description

The orangery at Holywell Hall, built around 1732, is a single-storey structure with a rectangular plan. It is constructed of ashlar and features a shallow hipped slate roof with lead dressings. The front has five bays, with a plinth and Doric columns set in antis. A moulded cornice runs along the top, leading to a plain parapet with ramped side walls. The central entrance consists of glazed double doors topped by a plain overlight, which is adorned with a broken pediment that includes a central bust. On either side of the doors, there are pairs of full-height windows that feature stepped keyblocks.
