Description
Blacklands Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone and features ironstone lintels, quoins, a storey band, an eaves cornice, and coped gables with kneelers. The roof is slate and has brick stacks at the ends. The building has three storeys and a three-window range.
In the centre, there is a part-glazed door with a stone lintel and keyblock, and a 20th-century porch. To the left and right of the door are three-light casements with wood and stone lintels. On the first floor, there are two-light casements with lintels and keyblocks to the left and right, and a blocked window in the centre, with the lintel still visible. The second floor has three two-light casements, with the leftmost having 12 panes. At the rear, there is a three-storey range, and attached to the right is a one-storey stone kitchen range. The interior has not been inspected.
