Description
Tubs End Farm, The Cottage is a 17th-century house built from squared, coursed limestone with ironstone dressings. It features a thatched roof with a brick ridge and end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a three-window range, following a two-unit plan.
At the centre left and centre right, there are part-glazed doors with quoin surrounds, lintels that have keyblocks, and hood moulds with label stops. Above these doors, there are segmental stone arches. The door on the centre right has a small light immediately to its left. On the ground floor, to the left and right, there are three-light mullioned windows with hood moulds and label stops. The first floor has three three-light mullioned windows. The roof includes two small eyebrow dormers.
Attached to the left is a 19th-century one-storey kitchen range, and there is a small 20th-century stone extension also attached to the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
