Description
Tubs End Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with 19th-century extensions. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone, with brick on the left side and ironstone quoins on the right. The roof is tiled, featuring a brick ridge and end stacks. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, forming an L-shaped plan.
At the centre left, there is a part-glazed door with a stone flat arch. To the left, centre, and right, there are 19th-century three-light casements with wood and concrete lintels. The first-floor openings also have 19th-century three-light casements with wood lintels. A rear wing from the 18th century has a new tile roof and a brick stack with an original stone base.
Inside, the farmhouse features a large open fireplace with a chamfered timber bressumer that has run-out stops, as well as a chamfered spine beam. The building is included for its group value.
