Description
Manor House is a late 17th-century house constructed of limestone ashlar with an ironstone plinth, quoins, and window surrounds. It features a hipped old tile roof with brick ridge stacks and is built over two storeys plus an attic, presenting a U-shaped plan with a five-window range. At the center, there is a 20th-century gabled porch that includes a wooden door, with a part-glazed door inside. All openings are fitted with 12-pane unhorned sashes that have dressed stone surrounds and keyblocks. The roof is adorned with three gabled dormers, and there are two rainwater heads dated 1848.
The large nine-window range extending to the rear includes additional 12-pane sashes and 20-pane cross windows, all featuring dressed stone surrounds. There is one two-light mullioned window in the basement, accompanied by a single light to the left, both with chamfered surrounds. The rear range also has leaded cross windows with dressed surrounds and some blind lights. A door with a four-centred, chamfered surround and stepped stops is present, along with two further doorways, one of which has a moulded surround. A large round-headed sash window with margin bars completes the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
