Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated around 1685, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a plain-tile roof from the 20th century, along with brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge, the latter resting on a stone base. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a three-window range.
The wide central bay is gabled and slightly projects forward, featuring a three-light casement window on the ground floor and two-light casements on the first and attic floors, all with wooden lintels. To the left of the central bay, there is a blocked door with a wooden lintel. To the right of the bay, there is a three-light casement on the ground floor and two-light casements on the first and attic floors, also with wooden lintels, with the attic windows set in gabled dormers. The gables are capped with ironstone and have kneelers. A datestone on the right dormer gable is inscribed P/1A0V/1685(?).
There is a two-storey, two-window extension from the 20th century to the right, which has an entrance at the rear. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered spine beams with ogee stops and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
