Description

Ivy Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th century, which has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two stories tall with a three-window range. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a wooden lintel and is set within a 19th-century gabled wooden porch. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with wooden lintels, while the first floor features two-light casements set in eyebrow dormers. There are single-storey extensions to the left and rear of the cottage. Inside, the cottage includes spine beams and an inglenook with a chamfered bressumer.
