Description

The Parsonage is a vicarage dated 1697, which has been extended and altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with stone end stacks, each having a pair of brick diagonal flues. The building has a three-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window range.

The entrance, located to the right of the centre, consists of panelled, part-glazed double-leaf doors that are framed by a moulded wood surround and topped with a straight hood. There are canted bay windows on the ground floor to the left and right. The first floor features 2-light casement windows with wooden lintels. A notable feature is the ironstone datestone located at the centre of the first floor, just below the eaves, inscribed with T/TE/1697. Above the entrance, there is a dormer window with a barge-boarded gable. The left gable is stone-coped and has kneelers.

To the right, there is a two-storey, three-window extension from the early 19th century, which includes a stone ridge stack with diagonal brick flues, a pair of sash windows on the ground floor with wooden lintels, and casements on the first floor. This extension also has a stone-coped gable with kneelers. At the rear left, there is a wing with an additional 19th-century extension. The interior has not been inspected.
