Description

Home Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located in Upper Stowe. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with some ironstone, featuring ironstone quoins and a pantile roof. Brick stacks are present at the ends. The building is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A central 20th-century part-glazed door is protected by a 20th-century hood. Most windows are 3-light casements with tile sills and timber lintels, with the exception of a 2-light casement above the front door. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top of the walls. Stone coped gables with kneelers are visible. A single-storey, one-window range extends to the left side. The interior contains stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace.
