Description

The ice house, located approximately 20 metres northeast of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Blatherwycke, is likely from the late 18th century. It features a brick lining beneath an earth mound. The entrance is square-headed and situated between retaining walls. Inside, there is a dogleg entrance lobby leading to a circular chamber, which probably has a domed roof.
