Description
The Schoolhouse is a building that originally served as a school and schoolhouse, now converted into a single dwelling. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Welsh slate roof. The schoolhouse was originally designed with a two-unit plan, creating an L-shape with the school room. The house features two storeys and the main front has a three-window arrangement of triangular-headed windows, which include keyblocks and Gothick glazing bars. The central panelled door also has a similar triangular head. The roof is hipped, and one bay of the rear range, which was the former school room, is set back to the right of the main front. This school room has windows similar to those at the main front, a hipped roof on the right side, and a gable on the left. There is a stone stack at the ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
