Description
Blatherwycke Bridge is a bridge located on Blatherwycke Main Street. It features datestones from 1656, 1726, and 1826, and was rebuilt in 1915 by E.F. Law. The bridge is constructed of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and has a parapet. It consists of three semi-circular arches with keyblocks and two cutwaters on the south side, which include pedestrian refuges. Above the arches is a raised band with a parapet that has moulded coping. Datestones are also present on the cutwaters. E.F. Law's design for the rebuilding appears to incorporate elements from the earlier bridge.
